The song I used for my painting was mainly Flightless Bird by American Mouth. I used other songs as well as my painting progressed. When I first started my painting I wanted the background to be blended blue white and pink for a sky look. When I listen to the song I picture myself lying in a field just looking up at the sky and its the main reason why I wanted those colors in the background. As I kept painting though I went with the flow of the song and it also reminds me of spinning and twirling. That's where the swirls and spins in the painting come from. The black in the swirls represents the calm and cold part of the song. It represents the "flightless bird". Every black swirl represents the wings and the freedom and the serienty the "bird" has. The song is very soothing yet has a bright and colorful meaning and when I look at my painting I feel calm yet happy.
